First time plumbing thoughts/advice
« on: February 03, 2017, 20:43:34 »
Like the title states, I'm just looking for some thoughts on my first plumbing job before I glue it all together.

Thanks,

Hello fellow Cincinnatian

You have got a lot of unions going on!  that is perfect!!  Unions are our friends.  Assuming you have a union at the bulkhead where the line enters the tank?  I see a ball valve at the top of the picture, is there a union above that?

Only thing I think i might comment on, is the horizontal pipe.  From the picture, it looks like a level run.  Is there any way to slightly adjust the slope of it so there will never be any sitting water?  If it has a slight slope, then at least the water can drain back down if the pump ever stops the flow.  And no water will sit idle.  That's what I've always been advised to do, so I figured I'd pass it on.

Other than that, I think it looks good.

Tons! Thats one thing I learned while researching, you can never have to many!
Yeah, I have one right above the ball valve as well.

That makes sense,Thanks for the advice. I will be sure to do that!
