60w equivalent or 60w? If equivalent consider getting something more intense such as 120w equivalent minimum.

I got a 54w led grow light par38 bulb off EBay.   18 qty 3 watt led equals 540watts traditional. Compare to the 120 watts which are like 12 watts by comparison. <20 bucks. It does use more power, but the chaeto grows pretty well.

I'll check the par later to see what I'm getting.

Getting ~300 par 1" below the water.  Cheap clip on fixture is about 7" off the water.

The 120W LED flood lights are equivalent to 23W and are also a par 38 bulb mounted about 12-14 inches above surface. Not sure on the actual par rating. But I'm not as concerned because it's Algae, so it's going to love bright light, you really just need to make sure you have enough light, rather than too much. And have a very low flow running through it.  I also run it from 9pm to 11am
