A little disaster
« on: June 22, 2017, 21:57:53 »
Experienced  a little disaster Tues night. Went to move a piece of rock to add the fish trap to get out a fish and must have grabbed the one piece that was holding the whole aquascape together. Everything went tumbling. Now I've been meaning to redo some aquascape due to acros getting to close to one another  but not in this fashion. It needed to be an all day job with alot of planing to kept everything from breaking. Needless to say it all happened in about 2 min. The only piece I was really concerned with was the Home Wrecker and it was broke off at the base with the stem not to be found. So i proceeded to throw rock in the sump and break more colony's, but was able to find the stem broke in 3 pieces
Still a little nub and encrusted base as you can see in the pic

The Little disaster may be in my favor. All tho I didn't get the aquascaping done or the fish caught. I have been fragging up alot of stuff that broke and Looks like the 3 pieces of the Home Wrecker seem to be doing Good. all polyps extended small but good

It really stinks when something like that happens.  What is the yellow acro in the first pic?  sounds like a for sale thread will be coming.

Chris, sorry to hear about the aqua scape tumble, done the same myself. Agree the 3 smaller frags do look good, should be alright - time is your friend.

Hey Chris, sorry for the mishap. What size setup do you have? Looks like you got some nice corals in there.
