Anyone have a marineland 300 gal dd tank?
« on: November 12, 2017, 08:52:33 »
I was wondering if anyone here has the marineland 300 gallon deep dimension tank?  I have been reading of a lot of failures with this tank and was wondering about any local success or failures with the tank.  If so were they with the black or clear silicone?  I might have an opportunity to buy one but am somewhat leery with some of the problems I have read about with the tank.
thanks
Jeff

I bought a marine land 220 brand New Years ago. I think it lasted me about 2 yrs give and take. The seals went bad on a random day and started leaking. It was black silicone. Hope that help

From what I have read most of the failures have been tanks with the black silicone.
thanks

My 180 has black silicon, and is going on over 6 years without issue.  As the tanks get bigger, stands being perfectly supporting and level are really important.  Used tanks really scare me, as you never know how they were treated.
