Please tell me what this is. I found it today.

Ok, so I was looking at my tank and I found this. I want to make sure it won't hurt anything, but I don't even know what it is. I never bought it but it could have been a hitchhiker on some live rock. Any ideas? Thanks.

Most likely a stone crab. I would place this guy in your sump, it will eat soft corals most likely.

I was thinking of putting him there too, but I wanted to make sure before I put him there. I found him at the top of the tank, and right there in that area, my coraline was white like something was picking at it. Could this be the culprit?

Definitely. I had have emerald crabs that chowed down on coraline.
