So the past couple weeks, I've decided to go ahead and grow brine shrimp out. I hate having to feed my fish the same couple things. When I get brine shrimp from Gerber's, the fish go CRAZY!!! I did some research and purchased a hatchery from Brine Shrimp Direct. Here is the link to the page...

Things have been going well. The brine shrimp eggs have hatched and now I'm growing them out to adulthood.
Brine shrimp aren't picky eaters, they will eat about anything. The are filter feeders, and if you decide to raise them DON'T over feed them.
Once they hatch and reach the collection cup on the hatchery, I take them out and put them in a 10 gallon tank that Ihave sectioned into 4 sections.
1st section-just hatched
2nd section-a week old
3rd section-two weeks old
4th section-sub-adults/adults (Ready to feed to the tank)
You can feed them to the tank at any time, but growing them out and feeding the brine shrimp spiralina powder i think is better in the long run for the fish.
If anybody has any questions or want to come check my set-up out you are more than welcome.
Also once I have enough, I'm going to start selling the brine shrimp.
