If your water qualities are still off, your adding to the problem adding them to the tank..

I took my water in and had it checked.  The only problem was my KH was a little low.   These were the readings.

Ammonia  0
Nitrate    0
Nitrite     0
PH     7.8
Phosphate   .25
Calcium    500
KH   107.4

Bar gobies are hardy fish.

also one of my favorites. Very active fish, and they get much more colorful as they get larger... especially a dominate male. also their "displays" to eachother are really neat.

I need to get a pic of mine! I woke up sunday and I was missing one, I was ticked. Turns out he made the trip thru the overflow, 16ft of plumbing, the sump, and into the frag tank lol. I picked him out with my hand, and he is back with the group now.

That's funny, when I was acclimating them, I put the bag in my tank so the other fish could do their "checking out the new guys" before setting them free, went to the kitchen, came back and only seen 2, looked down and one was carpet surfing.  Picked him up and put him in the tank and went ahead and put the other 2 in.  Get a pic of yours up !!!!

have a herd of them (35ish) at work that Ive trained to come to the top, I think they really do like being picked up. Scissortails on the otherhand are much more weary of being picked up.

Yea, I just got home and only have 2 now.  I tried to look in the overflow, but even on a chair, I can't see down in there.  Not in the sump, don't know ..

I fed last night, he still was a no show.  Checked the lights too ..  Hopefully when I get home today, the other 2 will still be there.

 :-Update

Well, now down to one Goby.    Came home yesterday, one decided to go carpet surfing.  He was black and stiff, been on the carpet for awhile.  The other one was missing.  While I was putting the corals I got off of Todd in the tank last night, I seen him peek at me from the overflow box.  Tried to get him out with the net, no luck.
Got up this morning ..... there he was, back in the tank ... geeeeez  He is swimming solo.

Found one this afternoon. Carpet jerky. Awesome fish, but they kinda suck lol.

Well, down to no Gobies ....  Me and daughter were leaving last night to go to AppleBees, and there he was, on the floor.   Don't think I'll be buying those fish again.
