I would guess that if it is a dark green, then it is bubble algae.
Thanks and God Bless,
John

Get rid of it while you can.

Dont pop the bubble.   It is best to remove the coral.  Pull off the bubble.   And brush the spot with a brush dip in peroxide.....try not to get the peroxide on live coral tissue

If u pop the bubble it puts hundreds of seeds in the tank not good unless you like the look of them

Omg so when yall replied to this thread my phone went off so I checked it and saw talks post and decided to go remove this stuff right now.  So I walk down stairs and I heard this grinding noise from the tank area and well if I had not went down there I would havr went down in the morning to a flood. My overflow box was no draining and the tank was overflowing lucky enough I was just in time there was only a towel worth of water on the floor. But the grinding noise was my auto top of pump its shot it pumped all my water into tank and lucky enoguh the ato tank only is 5 gallons so I check salinity and if was only down 1.026 to 1.025. And all my corals looked fine still open and such.  So good thing I'm addicted and check my tank all the time

But on the bubble alage note I took the coral out that had it on there and did some coral rx dip and cut with a knife the bubble algae away. I actally removed the base it was attached to and then diped again so hope this works.

Bubble algae most likely would not have killed off your corals.

I'm guessing you don't have any type of fail safe for the auto top off?
