I probably should log on more often but just noticed this thread. I would not use Fluke tabs for removal of clove polyps. I tried this method several years ago with disastrous consequences. Fluke tabs cleared my tank of all VISUAL clove polyps. However, the treatment also killed every one of my snails, which spiked nutrients and led to numerous other issues. A couple months later, the clove polyps returned in the exact same location they had previously occupied. The fluke tabs didn't actually kill the polyps. It just sent them into hibernation.
I eliminated the nasty cloves by just coating them with either encrusting montis or epoxy. Cloves are no match for an aggressive monti. I also went through about 20 sticks of epoxy. I used the epoxy on the rocks that had undulating surfaces and/or many holes. The cloves absolutely love to grow on rocks where they can shoot their runners all over the place. By getting rid of such rock with epoxy and then using monti to fill in the remaining surface area, the cloves loose their advantage and just disappear. I haven't seen one since.
Note: If somebody still wants to try the fluke tabs, then I should have a large bottle of them leftover from my endeavor.
