To use the Fusion features....yes.

But you can still use the old app if you'd like.

Just a reminder - Fusion is a BETA product that even Neptune admits is still quite buggy, right down to their disclaimer.  I'll wait.  My tank is not worth the risk.
90g SPS and LPS reef tank, 35g sump, ceramic rock by The Alternative Reef, Neptune Apex w 2 X EB8's, Moonlight module, ATI Sunpower Dimmable 8 X 39W T5's, Octopus Extreme 160 skimmer, PM Kalkwasser Reactor, 2 X Vortech MP40's, Geo 618 Ca reactor

Various thriving montipora, acropora, stylopora, wellsophyllia, blastomussa, hammer, anchor, and frogspawn, lobophyllia, rhizotrychus, pavona, scroll, and pagoda SPS and LPS corals, but no fish because I was too stupid to QT...

This is very true and caution should be taken with any beta. It has been in beta for a very long time though and most major bugs seem to be worked out.

The firmware that runs the Apex is not Beta.....fusion is just the interface, You can set fusion to "read only mode"

Was playing with my new lights.....figured out that one of the recent firmware updates allows manually setting your variable voltage outputs to Manual ON at any value from 0 to 100%

Fusion now includes graphical wizard programming of your variable speed ports.  (Now, that is just a default graph, not what I am running :)

There is also a mode that lets you "play" your 24 hr lighting schedule in a 30 second period for testing

Nice --- I already have my program made, but this makes it so much easier for my LEDs.

So I had to do a reset to reconfigure my Vortechs.....so I gave the Vortech Fusion Config a try.......Talk about easy....Once you use the wizard to do the graphical programming, ..here is what the outlet programming looks like for one of my vortechs.   So while it would be easy to change a time or intensity, some of the other data is a little more cryptic.....  So once you move to the wizard, that is where you should stay (you will probably want to stay, as it is easy)
