Connecting Wet/Dry Filter to Pre-drilled Tank
« on: January 01, 2010, 09:28:50 »
This month I purchased a used 180 gallon pre-drilled tank. Can anyone explain to me how to hook it up to the wet/dry filter? It's an Eshopps Model 200 wet/dry filter with 2 Mag-12s.

Better yet, if someone can come over and show me how?

Where are you located. I'm sure someone can help you out?

Electrical Engineers do it on impulse, with faster rise times, with more power, and less resistance at higher frequencies, without shorts, until it Hertz

Without giving my exact address, I'm near where Harshman/Needmore & Brandt Pike (201) intersect. We're in the Huber Heights area.

I'm working on putting it together tonight. I finally found some instructions (& pics) for how to put the thing together. Wish me luck!

Argh. Tried to put it together myself. Didn't finish...and misplaced a piece. :( I also can't figure out how in the world this sump is supposed to fit under the tank. I'm working all day tomorrow (9am-9:30pm). Is anyone still free to help me on Sunday? I really want to get this thing up and running. It's been begging me to fill it.

Sunday would be awesome. I'd really appreciate the help. I'm working all day today (Sat), but I'm going to continue looking for that piece tonight. I swear I had it. I'll let you know Sunday morning whether I've found it or not so it can continue being put together.

Do you know what the piece looks like that you are missing? Can you find a pic of it on the web. One of use may have an extra one just laying around

I still can't find the piece. I think the person who sold me the tank must have lost it. So cancel anyone planing on coming over today. I have to order a new piece.

It's a 1" bulkhead nut. It's the piece that goes on the underside of the tank to #2 in the picture.

Really?! That's awesome! How much do you want for it? Are you available today? I plan on going to Aquatic Specialists tomorrow since I'll be in the area, but I'd really like to set this up today.

My only problem is I don't want to buy the whole thing, just the nut. Do you think they sell parts? I'll call them when they open today.

I really appreciate the help but there's no point coming if I don't have all the parts. I'm going to see if I can get just the nut from somewhere. I know Jack's can order me one, but I'd have to wait until Monday when the support center is open.

I think it was like $5, but if the whole bulkhead is $10, I'll just buy the whole thing. Dr. Foster & Smith sells the whole thing for $54.99. $10 is cheap.

One of the guys @ Aquatic Specialists said he'd sell me the nut for a couple bucks. :)

I'm going to pick up the nut from them today. I was told I need to bring in the bulkhead to make sure it's the right size.
