I would be interested in a group buy I sold several old ones over the last year but with the new sand I'm ready for some more flow.

Hands down I'll put my Vortech mp10 up against any of those pumps listed in Jd's link from Reefbuilders for ease of use, space in the aquarium, heat transfer, wattage use, ease of cleaning, and lastly flow and undertow. Plus the controller offers several settings, night mode and feeding mode. I beleive it's a better bang for the buck.

I am undecided on if the vortex's are worth it or just go with the korallia's for a fraction of the price.  Seems like some of the reviews people have trouble's with the vortex's reliability & customer service is poor at best.  But those who have had good luck love them.....

I was looking at the mp40's

I wish Koralia would make a pump similar to the Vortech (wet side and a dry side).  That is the only reason I would want a Vortech is because the small amount of room they take up.  Yeah it would be nice to be able to turn down the flow but what is the sense in buying a pump and then turning down the flow?   Geez the perfect pump for me would be a two piece Koralia I wouldn't need it to be controllable that is like buying a Corvette and driving 25 M.P.H. everywhere.  It wouldn't need a feed mode, the waves never stopped when my fish were eating in the wild why would the flow have to stop in an aquarium.
