« on: March 08, 2011, 19:30:38 »
my flame angelfish recently died. im not sure why i noticed his tail was fraye a bit but i thought it must be the bue tang that i got with my 210 gallon set up. i just recently found a disease called fin ad tail rot before he died he seemed fine and was eating and wasnt lethargic could it have been a natural death not from disease. i just want to mke sure it doesnt happen gain to any other fish i get in the future

What other fish did you have in the tank with it?

royal gramma  yellow tail damsel clownfish. theyd been in the tank for about half a year then i put the tang in for about a week nd during the time he was in thats when i noticed his tail fraying i figured it was the tang  and it would go aay once i put the tang in my 210 gallon.

I have kept blue tangs for years and never seen them be aggresive...it would be just like a yellow tailed damsel to chase/nip at another fish though...just my 2 cents...sorry about your loss...
