« on: October 29, 2011, 12:02:01 »
I haven't been there in a while and decided to stop in this morning. I haven't seen to many purple tangs for sale locally and they have 2 that look great. Just thought I would pass it along incase anyone is looking for one.

I think they were around 135. I have had mine for about 5 years and have never had any problems with aggression.

Not in recent times.  I know, as I've been talking to John about tangs and waiting on a good deal for a purple tang.  One purple tang at Gerbers was $99, the (now remaining) other one was $139.  The $99 one sold before I could get there today.  Depending on size, $139 - $249 is average in the Ohio market.

I think u can get nicer tangs for that kinda money. I would hate to pay more than $75 for any fish.

Rich charged me like $150 for a 4" adult linneatus wrasse.  They're like $300 at a lot of places, sometimes even higher.  The local shops have good deals, but even $75 for a fish sometimes chokes me up a bit.

I love my  tang.  It is the boss of the tank and does put my sailfin in it's place.  Purples have a pet like personality.  Mine feeds right out of my fingers and I would probably be able to pick it up out of the water.
