help not sure what happened to my Kole Tang

I was feeding my fish today and I noticed this on my kole tank.  He had nothing on him yesterday and this showed up.  attahed is a picture.  Any idea of what this is?

Is it raised? or does it look like his flesh is ripped? Looks like a bite to me. But I am usually wrong.

it does not look raised.  It kind of looks like a scrap or something but its fairly large.

Tangs are notorious scrapers.  He could have taken a hit from the tail spur on the yellow tang too.   Just keep an eye on it.....it should heal.

will do.  I will keep a eye on it and see how it goes.  He seems to be acting normal.  His breathing is normal and he still eats like crazy so I will keep a eye on it as recommended and see how it goes.  Thanks

My sailfin has a huge gash on his head from chasing the other fish around. My guess is he was running from that yellow peeking around the corner there.

A few of my fish get those marks..... However its from my lawnmower/starry blenny......

Yeah, it looks like a bite to me too.

My starry blenny would always do that to my tomi tang.
