spots on birds nest

sorry the pic is weird I had to crop it so it would upload, anyways I know the tips are supposed to be white, but are all those little spots new growth?

Yes those are all growth tips. If you can get it in more light and reduce nutrient levels it will color up.

 The only info I can find for that is on humans, but maybe the temperature of my water has something to do with it? I suspect my evil mini Me got her hands on the heater, it was 94°  >:(

Cool, Thanks. I'm buying a new (to Me) light tomorrow :D they all popped up so quickly I figured the worst, it's nice to see i'm not completely f'ing up! :))

Good news is your carbonate/bicarbonate parameters are good which is why it is growing. With your new light and as you get your nitrients down it should color up nicely. DOn't forget to give regular doses of soda ash or baking soda which ever your prefrence is to keep alkalinity in range now that it will be absorbing it.

After a quick read about baking soda dosing and I figured out why I had "snow storm" a while back. Lol who knew calcium and baking soda would react :p

The growth is insane, all of my sps are doing fabulous and lps are ok, I thought sps were "harder" to keep

Sps are considered hard because if anything goes wrong, they are the first to go.
