What type of toadstool is this, exactly?
« on: February 01, 2017, 13:21:53 »
I bought this toadstool from Lazy a number of months back, and it's doing well from what I can tell.
What is the exact name of this toadstool?  I am trying to find out more information about this coral.
For anyone that has this type of toady, will this eventually change shape?  The shape you see in the photo is the one it seems to stay in.  Obviously it's getting bigger, but not much changes with him/her/it.
I have this toady in the center of my tank.  I am hoping it will get super duper big and be more of a center piece.

a green one :)

Seriously though, I don't believe there are "different kinds" in the hobby.

I could be mistaken

Ones with green polyps are normally called tyrees. Several types of leathers are different colors.

tyrees! that's it.  I remember that name now.

I was looking on live aquaria and saw a few toadstool leathers that didn't look like mine, then there was another that didn't match up as well.
I;ll google the tyrees and see what info I get.

thank you!

Maybe a Tyree green polyp leather?
We don't know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have.
