Boy does this hobby have some ups and downs.  So I had another tank spring a leak.  It is devastating.  I have spent a ton of time and money as you all know.  I have some deep thinking to do in the next day or two to make a decision if I stay in the hobby.  Lots of money down the drain and not any left for a rebuild.  Just needed to log on to vent, sorry for the negativity on this one.

Oh no, do you know what happened? I really feel bad for you. I’ve been down that road before too. Was the tank new?

I have no idea was just sitting there and all of the sudden it was leaking.  Was not able to find where from yet.

Drained the tank and used silicone caulking, appears to have fixed the problem!  One loss, my favorite fish but saved everything else.

If you just siliconed along the seam you might make it a year before it leaks again. The proper way is to separate the glass, remove all the old silicone and reseal the glass back together. Not an easy job .

The marine land deep dimensions have a habit of doing that. I’ve known a couple people who have contacted Marineland and received Compensation. Even for tanks that were out of warranty

Yup, I'm out for the display tank.  Thankfully I had my frag tank setup so I saved all my corals.  I did contact Marineland and will see what they have to say.

I have a 75 gallon you can have if you want it. It needs cleaned up but its a solid tank only a few years old.
