From the Sears VIP Sale, we have our first Hotter than Black Friday Sale! Sears has the Panasonic 42" Plasma HD 1080p Television (TH-42PZ77U) on sale for $1199.99.

Order during the VIP Sale Hours (6pm Nov 11 - 6am Nov 12 CST) for an extra 5% ($60) off to bring the total down to $1139.99.

Get an extra $150 off by using your Sears card to bring the total down to $989.99. (Please note that this $150 discount is by Mail-in-Rebate - rebate details here)

Delivery is ~$50 shipped to your home, however you can pick it up at your local Sears store for free (where available).

This is nearly $500 off the retail price of this television and the cheapest price it's ever been! Panasonic Plasmas are the best consumer plasma television you can buy (Pioneer Elites are almost 5x as much) and are literally in a league of their own compared to other plasma televisions.

You can check out the technical specifications of the TH-42PZ77U at Panasonic's Website.

For anyone on the fence about purchasing this television, I would highly recommend it. Sears offers a complete 30 day price-value guarantee, which beats waiting in line for hours in the cold on Black Friday.

Matt do they have any smaller ones?  We need a new one for our bedroom.  42 inches in the bedroom is way too big!

Yes... that is an old add.. but there are others, linked to the same site, which are valid.  Based on HDTV focus of the thread you may want to check out the HH Gregg add...

duh, they have to screw you over somehow...they cant sell that many, they would loose money.

Of course the bigger you go the better advantage you have on black friday.  if a store has 5-10 on hand, how many people are in the market to
1. spend that much
2. buy a 65" tv

the little tvs for a hundred or two have very high depend...1000's of people want the 500 they have.  this on the other hand is a little less in demand

I think I'm just going to stick with the cheap 42" polaroid and hope it last a couple of years, I figure if I get an extended warranty Walmart will take it back if something goes wrong. I wouldnt mind getting a DLP but I have limited space for the TV.  Maybe someday I can afford a TV where the screen is taller than me.  I work with a guy that has a 65" DLP and I always give him a hard time over it because he's lucky to be 62" tall.

It's back:

Sears.com has the Hitachi 42" HD1080 Plasma HDTV with 3 HDMI Inputs
(#P42H401) for $776.00 ( http://bfads.net/Link/301 ) with free pickup
if you choose in-store delivery. Add ~$50 to have it shipped to your
house. This is an incredible deal. The Hitachi 42" HD1080 Plasma HDTV
( http://bfads.net/Link/301 ) supports 1280x1080 Resolution and has 3
HDMI Ports!

There is only one 42" Plasma HDTV that is cheaper (only by $25) this
Black Friday and it is an off-brand Staples door-buster deal. I have
never seen a 42" Plasma HDTV with these technical specifications for
anywhere near $800. It was selling for more than $1000 just a couple
weeks ago! Don't expect this deal to last long, so get it while you
can. You can purchase it by clicking here: http://bfads.net/Link/301
