JD's Filter Socks
« on: December 10, 2009, 20:51:51 »
Went to my family's quiltshop today and did some sewing.  ;D

Props to Slandis for the idea to use PEX tubing for the ring.

These should fit in any 4in sock holder.

Made two different kinds, one medium and one fine. Didn't bring the camera with me, next time I'd I made a few I'll do a step-by-step. If anyone wants one they are $2.50 each.

Cool. Gimme a week or so, I gotta get more material. I'm not sure how the fine ones work yet. I haven't tested it, I'm still pulling out big stuff :)

those are pretty slick!

Thanks!

When I make HUNGAR's I'll take pictures step by step and take measurements.

have you swapped them yet? 4 days is usually the max i let them stay before i swap them.  They collect alot of crap and mine turn brown, But how they are used with a ton of waterflow that will break the crap down into Nitrates really quick.  Best to swap them as often as resonably possible.
