Calcium Reactor FS
« on: August 24, 2010, 20:53:17 »
$125. First chamber is 6" dia and 24" tall, second is 4" dia and 24" tall. this thing holds 3 gallons of media (still all there, ARM media). Pump is a quiet one pump. This will handle a massive system. What you need: CO2 container and regulator are not included, need some sort of controler to regulate the CO2, and some way to feed it. I just tapped into my return line. I have a tap I could let you borrow to get it hooked up. Also has a needle valve for fine tuning the flow through the reactor.

Its yours!

I was thinking you would be the first one on it. It works very well, it just needs lots of space- 30" clearance, so its out of the picture for most people wanting to put it under their stand... but you've got a whole basement. When are you at AS next? I can drop it off for a frag of something cool.

You got lucky! I saw this when it was first posted... but I figured you would jump on it since I know you were talking about getting one.

I got dibs on the next one on here! haha  ;D

Give me until tomorrow to hash it out with the wife. Unless you want to trade for LOTS of cool frags hehe.

Will this feed enough calcium for the 240 you are setting up?

this thing could easily do a 500g system

Im looking for mainly cash as I am moving shortly and could use cash. However once I get this new system setup, Im sure I will be getting some frags off you.

I didn't need to hear this!  That makes me wish I had pulled the trigger on it! haha  Oh well, there's always the next one.

That is actually what I thought about doing... It would be nice if I knew someone with engineering skill that could design one that would work for a system just shy of 300 gallons.  ;D

It would be nice if I knew someone that would finish fabbing the pH boards and bring me one to test.... :)

I do have another set of tubes for making another reactor, and some spare acrylic. two 24" sections, only $50!

I just have a lot of money sitting in this reactor, had to pay a machine shop to finish the tube ends, 3 gallons of media, pump, plumbing, ect...

Anyone wanna help me build a reactor? I know nothing of doing so and I really want one!  If I can get help building or at least plans, I will buy what you have.
