Ok everyone i have a GBTA had him for awhile now and he was doing very well from what i could tell i hooked up a new light about a week ago or so and he was moving around to find were he liked and i woke up today and poof he was gone cant find him anywere and i mean anywere when the wife gets home were goin to do a more in depth search but any reasoning for his sudden dissappearence i mean i did wake up and my front door was open. and if he did die is there anyting to look for.

probably not deceased. you'd see browish grey stuff floating around. ours lives under a rock and only comes out during the day. it probably doesn't like the lights yet. check your wavemakers and overflows.

I don't have a bubble tip but then anemone that I have sometimes will close and shrink up and it's hard to see it if you didn't know it is there.

well with my degree in detective work and a little help from the wife we found him way under a rock he has alot of stringy stuff coming off of him. and this is totally not like my anenome most of the 95% of the time he is out and looks happy cause me and the wife hand feed him all the time

if they get upset they can go into hidding(change in the tank, flow, etc)... if they also are ready to shed abunch of waste they can go into hiding... It isn't uncommon, just watch him...

My small GBTA wanders around and gets behind\under the live rock all the time. Its now found a spot in the middle of the tank that it likes.

ok i was just wondering wife is getting attached to him and i was for sure cause he is all shriveled up and looks like he is dumping waste nothing has changed in the tank except the new light so maybe hes just looking for that happy home.

Yep, mine used to move almost daily, by far one of the coolest things I had in my tank IMO. Neat little dudes.

so i think my GBTA is done for he is (bottom) up by that i mean he is face down in the sand anything i should look for in particular why he would not be doing very well.

i havent done anything to it no chemicals just added those corals i got from mike but i didnt put anything near him have to ask mike what he gave me

no there all new lights only abut 3 months old i mean i did add a new light cause i didnt have adaquit lighting but other that nothing else

no his foot is still red like it has always been and his tenacles are still green he is just laying in the sand with his tenacles down.

as from what i can tell he mite not be happy with the new light i would try and flip him back over up aganst a rock and see what happens

i wouldnt turn the light off cuz when u trun it back on it will have to get use to it just give it time like a week or so

well needless to say the wife reached in there to move him and not only did he just like turn to mush he stunk so dont know but everything else is doing good for the moment
